Investigation into the prominent families and characters of the Parish involved a great deal of research – and finally turned into a 30,000 word book which was launched on 1 March 2014

One of my ancestral lines lived in Barrow Upon Trent in the C16th and C17th. Their surname was Gilbert. Has any information been uncovered about this family?
I am trying to find someone in Barrow upon Trent that I can communication with. My family surnames from Barrow are Gilbert, Bancroft, and Lowe primarily in the 1600 and 1700’s. I would like to start to get more information and look forward to visiting.
